Sayif Saud started Karate and Judo at the age of three. He went
on to be very successful in both. He won 2 state Judo titles at
ages 7 and 8. He is a 4 time national champion in kumite. He won
the P.K.C. Nationals in 1992 and 1993 and he won the U.S.K.K.
nationals in 1994 and 1995. He also won 4 state tournaments from
1989-1994. He earned his black belt in June of 1997. Aside from
karate, he also started bodybuilding in 1996. He won 1st in
Lightweight Midwestern States in 1999, 1st in Overall Midwestern
States in 2000, and 2nd Mr. Indiana in 2000. He is competing this
June to try to qualify for nationals.
Sayif has graduated with honors. He has a bachelors
degree in Political Science with a minor in Arabic. He has a
G.P.A. of 3.7. He co-founded and is President
of Indiana Universities Shorin-ryu club, which he started in
2001 with Ted Elk. He plans on attending law school in the summer
of 2004. |
